Extracted text preview

Review what the reader captured before asking questions.

PREVIEW
Your document text will appear here after reading the file.

PDFs use text extraction. Photos use optical character recognition (OCR).

02 / Understand the source

Document summary

Pulls important sentences from the text you uploaded and keeps their source page visible.

STEP 02

This is an extractive summary: it selects key sentences from your source rather than inventing new facts.

Your summary will appear here.
03 / Ask and compare

What would you like to know?

Ask once to compare the information in your document with online research.

STEP 03

Internet research uses English Wikipedia. No paid search API key is required. Load a document to also receive a document-based answer.

Answer from your document

Uses the text from your uploaded PDF or image.

Your source
Load a PDF or image, then ask a question.
Your document-based answer will appear here.

Answer from the internet

Separate online context, with article links you can check.

Online sources
Enter a question and click Find Answers to search online sources.
Your internet-based answer will appear here.

Online results use English Wikipedia, not every website on the internet. Model answers can be incomplete; follow the source links to verify details.

About this project

A student-built study workspace that brings together PDF text extraction, OCR for book-page photos, extractive summaries, browser-based question answering, and free Wikipedia research.

Files are processed in your browser rather than uploaded to an app server. The page still needs internet access to load its libraries, OCR language data, AI model, and online articles. OCR is designed for clear printed English text; scanned multi-page PDFs and handwriting may need extra tools.
